COMPANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Mass rearing, release, and establishment of Guthion-resistant predacious mites in the early 1980s which can still be found in orchards today.

  • Cooperation in various research projects with University of California project leaders.  Some of the more recent projects are:  Development of an insecticide-resistant parasite of walnut aphid; kairomonal confusion of navel orangeworm in almond orchards; pheromonal confusion of codling moth in apple orchards; pheromonal confusion of pin worm in tomatoes; pheromonal confusion of peach twig borer in almonds.

  • Teaching classes in Integrated Pest Management at California State University, Chico and Butte College.

  • Tomoto pin worm project in Mexico.

  • The company has also developed and maintained an IPM program for stored products pests in a nut processing facility.

  • Established and supervised an area-wide IPM program for the Lodi-Woodbridge Winegrape Commission Crush District #11 (50,000 acres of vineyards).
